New Brighton Dayhome Policies
Fees: Fees are due on the 1st of every month, by personal cheque (post-dated required). When you sign a contract with New Brighton Dayhome a postdated cheque for 2 weeks care is required as a deposit. Will not be cashed unless however you break the contract.
Receipts: I do issue receipts for any payment made. Receipts will be handed out at tax time or last day of care (or monthly if you prefer.)
Absent Days: When the child(ren) will not attend care due to illness, doctor’s appointment, parent day off, ect., monies will not be deducted from the monthly rate.
Holidays: 14 days a year I will take paid Holidays with my family. Dates are posted at the beginning of each year to provide many months notice for families to make other arrangements. If you take time off for holidays, illness ect your rates are not affected.

Remembrance Day
Family Day
We will be closed on these holidays, and pay will not be deducted. . Please have a backup care provider for these occasions. New Brighton DayHome is not responsible for finding alternate care for your child(ren).
Termination of Care: Parents are required to submit to the day home, 1 month written notice of termination of care. Those providing less notice will still be required to pay for care for the full 2 weeks term of notice. Payment will be paid through post dated cheque given at time of contract signing. If 1 months notice is given I will return your postdated cheque to you at that time.
Hours of Operation: Day home hours are: 7:00 – 5:00
Please note that there is a late fee of $2.00 per minute after 5:00pm (per child)
Supplies that parents will provide:
Diapers
Wipes
Baby food
Bottles (formula or breast milk)
Any special food because of food allergies
Change of clothes
Booster/Car Seat
Illness: Please make alternate arrangements for your child(ren) when circumstances of sickness arise and are highly contagious to others. A Doctors note will be required if your child is to come back to the DayHome with symptoms clarifying that your child is not contagious. Parents not following this policy will be given notice effective immediately.
- Very high fever, 101F (38.3 C)
- Persistent diarrhea
- Severe coughing
- Difficult or rapid breathing
- Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
- Yellowish color or tint to the eyes or skin (jaundice)
- Difficulty in swallowing
- Persistent vomiting
- Contagious infections (chicken pox, measles, ect)
